New Work for Real IS AG

Real IS AG decided to modernise its offices in order to adapt them to the principles of the New Work philosophy. In this comprehensive project, a total of 41 differently sized and functionally diverse rooms were refurbished. These ranged from compact huddle rooms and various types of conference and meeting rooms to specialised spaces such as a hybrid arena and a large hybrid space. There were also specially equipped rooms such as the boardroom and a large meeting room with a dual-screen setup.

A central aspect of the project was the implementation of high-quality, innovative technology that ensures excellent audio and video quality and at the same time offers a high level of connectivity without exceeding the mid-range price segment.

Logitech products were chosen for the video conferencing technology. This choice was made due to Logitech's excellent performance, reliability and good price-performance ratio. The innovative Logitech Sight camera was used in the large meeting room in particular, which uses AI-supported RoomSense technology to dynamically capture and visualise the people present.

The dual-screen room is specially designed for Microsoft Teams Rooms and offers optimal conditions for video conferences and online meetings. The two large screens allow video feeds from participants and presented content to be displayed simultaneously, which significantly increases the clarity and interactivity of meetings. This arrangement promotes visual communication and collaboration by allowing content to be displayed clearly and efficiently. The room is ideal for team meetings and project discussions, with the Teams Rooms-based interface ensuring intuitive and user-friendly operation.

The displays chosen were Samsung Business Displays, which are known specifically for their image quality and anti-glare surfaces, making them ideal for bright, window-filled offices. These displays not only improve visibility, but also the quality of interaction during presentations and video conferences.

The hybrid event space is designed as a multifunctional arena, equipped with a mobile video conferencing system based on Microsoft Teams Rooms. This configuration enables flexible and dynamic use of the space for different types of events, both physical and digital. The mobility of the system allows for quick adaptation to different seating arrangements and numbers of participants, making the space ideal for webinars, workshops and larger conferences. The integration of Teams Rooms facilitates the organisation of interactive sessions and promotes global collaboration through high-quality video and audio communication.

The project room is equipped with an interactive Samsung Flip Display, which is ideal for collaborative meetings. It supports functions such as a digital whiteboard and is perfect for brainstorming sessions and agile projects. The equipment is complemented by a Logitech Rally Bar, which is used for video conferencing. This combination enables a dynamic and interactive environment that meets the needs of modern project teams.

Another collaborative space has been sustainably designed by integrating existing displays. This area is equipped with Microsoft Teams Rooms, which enables efficient collaboration and communication. The signalling technology for controlling the dual displays is cleverly concealed in a flat lowboard, which not only preserves the aesthetics of the space, but also enables centralised and simple maintenance of the technology.

High connectivity was a key aspect of the technical equipment. ClickShare was used for this, which offers a flexible ‘Bring Your Own Meeting’ solution via USB-C. This system allows users to easily and securely connect their own devices to the conference room systems, making it much easier to hold meetings and increasing user-friendliness.

We mounted Logitech microphones on the ceiling for a flexible creative space. This installation allows for different seating arrangements such as seminars, classrooms, group work and conferences. The microphones cover the entire area and offer excellent speech intelligibility.

The large event space is specially designed for hybrid speeches by board members and town hall meetings to enable both physical and virtual participation. This multifunctional space is ideal for organising large-scale events that focus on interaction and communication. In addition, another extensive hybrid event space was realised, which is equipped with Sennheiser TeamConnect Ceiling ceiling microphones. These microphones improve the audio quality for all participants by capturing the voices in the room clearly and distinctly, optimising the audio experience at events of all sizes.

In the three executive offices, the technical equipment has been seamlessly integrated into the front furniture, which keeps the design clear and elegant. This integration promotes easy connectivity and ensures quick access to all necessary functions. The result is a working environment that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing, tailored to the needs of the board members.

The project was successfully realised in three construction phases, using agile project management to ensure flexibility and efficiency.Despite challenges such as delivery issues during the pandemic, each phase was completed on time.The collaboration with the client continues after the installation phase by providing ongoing service, support and maintenance.
